Downloads = Big Money
One of my favorite news and blog sites is Digital Music News. All kinds of good stuff on there, including an item today on Juniper Research forecasting strong gains for full-track downloads, ringback tones and streaming services. Ringtone sales are down but that will likely turn around. All together, Juniper says that global mobile revenues will reach $14.3 billion by 2013.
Internet, Mobile Viewing On the Rise
More and more people are watching videos - and they are choosing to watch it on their mobile phones in addition to on television and the internet.
Neilsen Co. released a report today on the nation's viewing habits and it shows that how we watch television is changing with the times.
Although traditional TV is still the most popular (285 million users), the number of viewers watching video on mobile devices and video (such as DVRs) each grew about 9%. Is this the end of television as we know it? Where do you get your TV fix?
